Description
Shown in a moody, grainy monochrome rendering, a Kodak Brownie Starflash camera. The Starflash model was made in the United States and France from 1957 to 1965. This white version was made between March 1958 and August 1962--truly a bit of midcentury modern design. The Starflash used 127 film in a square format and M-2 flashbulbs (one of which is shown inserted in the flashbulb holder), and was made in black, white, red, and blue, as well as a special two-tone edition with a Coca-Cola logo on it. The original selling price was $8.50. This handsome compact camera featured a built-in flash and a Dakon lens, and was designed by Arthur H. Crapsey, noted designer of many of Kodak's popular midcentury cameras.
