Artist's Description
A vintage Kodak Brownie Special Six-16 perches atop a stack of old books, including an early edition of John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath." The Kodak Brownie Special Six-16 was a study, handsome metal box camera using size 616 film and was manufactured by Kodak in the United States between 1938 and 1942. It was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague, American industrial designer, often referred to as the "Dean of Industrial Design" and widely known for his exhibition designs during the 1939-40 New York World's Fair, such as the Ford Building, and his iconic product and packaging designs.
First Place (best in show) winner of the Bartlett Art Association judged show, April 6, 2014.
